Our Purpose
The Sanctuary Counselling Centre provides care and support for individuals and their families experiencing life-challenging illness or bereavement in the Geelong region. 

For more than 20 years, The Sanctuary Counselling Centre has helped over 5,500 families in the greater Geelong community and beyond. 

Our underlying philosophy is that although we cannot always choose the challenges we may face we can, with positive help, choose the way we respond.

Many individuals and families tell us that The Sanctuary has helped them to thrive after illness and loss in ways they did not believe were possible initially. The Sanctuary is a place of hope, support and healing.

The Sanctuary and its many stakeholders are excited to announce the Gala event date and venue, November 18th at The Pier. This event will both celebrate and support the unique and critical role of The Sanctuary.
